Happy Monday!

I hope after last week you’re feeling more excited than ever to complete the Best Week Basics! So, before I share my biggest success-related life hack, let’s grab your notebook and spend the next 20 minutes laying the groundwork for having your best week ever.

🦋 Following the "Best Week Basics" is essential to having your best week ever. Use this time to really plan for the week ahead and think about what needs to happen for you to feel like you had a productive, fulfilling week.

  1. 🪞 Reflection: Reflect on last week. What went wrong? What went right? What can you celebrate? What can you try to do better this week?

  2. Intention: Set your intentions for this week. What needs to happen to ensure you have the absolute best week ever? Take a few minutes to do a brain dump and organize your to-do list if you feel overwhelmed.

  3. 📆 Time block: Review your calendar and make sure you have time blocked off to complete your most important and urgent tasks.

🔮 Every week we pull a tarot card to give us guidance for the week. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

💃 This week’s reading by Danielle

Week of September 9, 2024: The Queen of Pentacles (reversed)

The suit of Pentacles is centered around tangible items, tangible results, materialistic possessions, and careers.

The suit of Pentacles often shows up in readings that focus on money, wealth, finances, health, our body, home, or security. In the reversed form, The Queen of Pentacles (reversed) can point to more negative qualities such as imbalance, insecurity, jealousy, greed, or feeling ungrounded.

Many of us know the feeling of being spread too thin and the Queen of Pentacles (reversed) can point to an unbalanced home and work life. Sometimes we give too much of ourselves and are left feeling exhausted, disorganized, and out of control. You might find yourself giving too much attention in one area and the other is now suffering because of it. If this resonates with you, then it is important to find a healthy balance. Maybe you need more help at home or more time off work? Whatever the situation is, resolve it in a manner that aligns with your priorities.

Sometimes when the Queen of Pentacles shows up reversed, it can be a warning to stop being greedy or jealous.  It happens….we have all been there at some point. You are living in a shit cloud, meanwhile it appears that everyone around you is experiencing sunshine and rainbows. That is when you feel “envy” creep up. If this resonates with you, and you are familiar with these feelings, it’s okay! Give yourself some grace but then LET GO of those negative feelings. Try to start your day off with writing down everything you are thankful for. A wise friend (Jessica), once taught me this. It actually does work!!!

This card in reverse can also suggest misplaced priorities. It hints that instead of being grounded and having a solid plan, you find yourself distracted and unable to focus on long term goals. On the other hand, you might be SO focused on the future that you are neglecting what is important in the present. If this resonates with you, again it’s important to find a healthy balance. It’s always a great idea to plan for the future and be prepared. Just make sure you are also living in the present.

Finally, The Queen of Pentacles (reversed) can indicate that you are prioritizing yourself and your needs over others. Some may think this is selfish but really, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.  Sometimes we need to take care of ourselves and our needs. It is important to assert our independence and put our mental health first. Especially, if you have been giving all your energy to others. Of course, it is important to consider those that are important to you. So, again the key is balance!

🌙 The moon will be moving into its First Quarter on September 11th. It will then continue into a Waxing Gibbous phase over the next week. This is a great time to analyze our progress and make adjustments in order to grow our intentions and goals for this month!

How to increase your success rate by 95%

Y’all. We are exactly three weeks away from the fourth quarter of the year. How the heck is that possible?!

The better question is probably how am I continually surprised by the passing of time, but regardless, I genuinely can’t believe how quickly this summer flew by.

But I digress…

Last week I shared in-depth the Best Week Basics framework and how following it is the key to having your best week, every week. Which, if you haven’t noticed, is the whole theme of this newsletter :)

I also shared that, despite your best efforts, you will undoubtedly fail at following the framework perfectly.

But what if there was a way to become 95% more likely to actually follow through? Not just on following the framework, but on achieving your goals, period?

Because there is, and it’s with the help of an accountability partner.

There’s a bunch of science out there that can prove the benefits of having an accountability partner, but just from first-hand experience I can tell you that I thrive when I have someone I’m regularly checking in with – someone who’s can say, “Yo – why didn’t you do that thing you said you were gonna do?” – but also someone I can celebrate with when I do the thing and it works, or bitch to if it doesn’t.

So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the passing of time, but you want to absolutely crush the last 113 days of 2024, get yourself an accountability partner.

Need some tips on where to look? I got you:

  1. Look within your network: Start by reaching out to people you know who share similar personal and/or professional goals.

  2. Join online communities: There are countless online forums and Facebook groups dedicated to specific goals. Look for communities where you can connect with like-minded individuals.

  3. Consider professional coaching or mentoring: While it may involve a financial investment, a professional coach or mentor can provide personalized guidance and support, as well as a built-in accountability structure.

A good accountability partner is someone who is supportive, reliable, and committed to your success.

If you do find a partner, make sure you set regular check-in times, and discuss what holding each other accountable actually means for each of you.

If you think having an accountability partner sounds like your jam and you’re just missing the right partner(s), stay tuned…I’ve got something brewing for us that I’ll be sharing more about next week.
