Good morning and happy Monday!
I’ve got an unexpected update to share, but first, let’s grab your notebook and spend the next 20 minutes laying the groundwork for having your best week ever.
🦋 Following the "Best Week Basics" is essential to having your best week ever. Use this time to really plan for the week ahead and think about what needs to happen for you to feel like you had a productive, fulfilling week.
🪞 Reflection: Reflect on last week. What went wrong? What went right? What can you celebrate? What can you try to do better this week?
✨ Intention: Set your intentions for this week. What needs to happen to ensure you have the absolute best week ever? Take a few minutes to do a brain dump and organize your to-do list if you feel overwhelmed.
📆 Time block: Review your calendar and make sure you have time blocked off to complete your most important and urgent tasks.
🔮 Every week we pull a tarot card to give us guidance for the week. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

Week of September 16, 2024: The Star (reversed)

The Star is number 17 of the Major Arcana cards. Major Arcana cards signal important life events, themes, or shifts.
The key meaning of the Star card focuses on feelings of hope, faith, inspiration, and guidance. In the reversed position, it suggests going through a period of hopelessness, lack of faith, creative blocks, boredom, or lack of direction/motivation.
When the Star is reversed it can indicate that you are going through a period of feeling hopeless about a situation or outcome. You may feel like you have exhausted all options and are ready to give up. You have lost faith that anything will get better or work out. These negative feelings can be the result of experiencing setbacks, hardships, or just plain old bad luck. If this resonates with you, PLEASE HEAR MY WORDS ....The Star card in reverse DOES NOT indicate that this is true and that things are hopeless, only that you feel this way at the moment.
Instead, the message for you is that there is always hope and all problems have a solution. I once read that if you have a problem and you can write it down, then you are already halfway to solving it! It is time to take charge of your mindset and attitude. Things are never as bad as they seem and if you don’t like something, you ALWAYS have the power to change it!
The Star reversed can represent a testament of faith. You may find yourself in a situation or predicament where your faith in yourself, your abilities, or the universe is being tested. You may be going through something challenging or getting ready to face a challenge. The Star brings up the question, “Will you endure and stay strong or will you falter?” If this resonates with you, then dig deep and find the strength to believe in yourself. It’s natural to question yourself and your place in the world when you’re facing difficulties. What’s important is to remember that these tests, while tough, can also be opportunities for growth.Reflecting on past experiences where you’ve overcome obstacles can be a good way to find strength. Stay true to your values and trust your instincts. Take time to recognize what is truly important to you and make sure that your decisions always align with your higher purpose.
In reverse, the Star card can also point to a period of boredom. You might be finding your day to day routine monotonous. It might be a challenge to muster any sort of enthusiasm for activities. Maybe you are experiencing a lack of inspiration? If this sounds familiar, then it is time to move forward and shake things up a bit! Do something spontaneous! Take your dream vacation, start a new hobby, make a new friend! Find time to reconnect with yourself and your needs. Life is short so enjoy it!
🌙 This month's Full Moon will make its appearance on Sept. 17th! This is known as the Harvest Moon and it is a SuperMoon that will hang around for three days! There will be a partial eclipse that will cause the full moon to shine less brightly than normal. This will still be an excellent time to charge your moon water and complete Full Moon rituals!
Pressing Pause
Well friends, this isn’t the post I thought I was going to share today, but if there’s anything I’ve learned in this life it’s that you should always trust your gut and, unfortunately, my gut is telling me that I need to press pause on the newsletter.
Last week I shared about the benefits of having an accountability partner and teased that I was going to be sharing something I have been working on to make finding a partner easier.
That “something” was the launch of a community that had a focus on accountability, connection, and the resources you need to have your best week every week.
This was always my intention for the newsletter, to grow it into a community, and I had been so completely on board with this idea – until now – because I’ve realized that I don’t have the capacity to make this community everything it deserves to be.
Honestly, I’ve actually come to the realization that I don’t have the capacity to continue the newsletter in its current format at all right now.
The reality is, my full-time position has grown significantly and requires a lot more of both time and energy from me. I’m also still very much involved in Pav*r, and in the process of becoming a first-time homebuyer.
This season of life is an exciting one, but it’s forcing me to evaluate my priorities and, unfortunately, that means making the difficult decision to press pause on the newsletter.
While I am disappointed that this is the case, there is a sense of relief in taking something off my plate – and that feeling of relief is how I know that this is the right decision for me.
Sometimes the right thing to do isn’t always what we want to do.
With that being said, I still very much believe in, and practice, the Best Week Basics framework and think the consistency of this practice is truly transformative, which is why I’m going to continue emailing you every Monday morning at 8am with a reminder to use this framework to plan your week.
My plan is to press pause on everything else newsletter-related through the end of this year and then reevaluate.
I hope you’ll stick around, and if we’re not already friends on social media, please find/connect with me on Facebook, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn!
Love you, mean it.
❤️ - Jessica
