💃 This week’s reading by Danielle
Week of July 21, 2024: The Hermit (Reversed) & The Nine of Pentacles

Cards that show up in pairs together can also have a combined message to share…
This week’s reading will be a little unique as not one but two cards decided to show up! Each Tarot card is unique in its own meaning. However, cards that show up in pairs together can also have a combined message to share!
I am going to break down each card and the individual meaning, as well as the combined message. So, bare with me friends! This reading will be a long one! We have a lot to cover.
Let’s start with The Hermit. This card focuses on self reflection, inner guidance, introspection, and spiritual self. When reversed this can indicate a period of solitude, self isolation or searching for something.
The Hermit can show up in a reading when someone isn’t taking enough time for personal reflection or they are taking too much time. If this resonates with you then it is important to center yourself and find a healthy balance. If you struggle to connect with your inner self then this card encourages you to find time to reflect and soul search.
The Hermit is a Major Arcana Card and when it shows up reversed it can also be a sign that it is time to rediscover yourself. You may be wondering, “What is my greater purpose on Earth?”
If this resonates with you, then now is the time to find those answers. Look deep inside your soul and listen to your inner voice. It is time to rebuild your spiritual self.
Now, let’s look at the Nine of Pentacles. The Pentacles is an Earth Suit and it dwells with matters that are tangible. Think in terms of wealth, money, security, stability, finances, jobs, health, or things that can be attained or measured. Things that you have to work for or work to gain.
The Nine of Pentacles indicates financial independence, abundance, luxury, self reliance, financial stability, and steady security. The general message of this card is that you have worked hard and now you can enjoy yourself!
You have a stable foundation and all of your financial needs are met. You are in a position to even treat yourself or splurge a little. If this resonates with you then make sure to do something nice for yourself! Your hard work has paid off and you deserve it!!!
The Nine of Pentacles can also point to financial independence. This can be a sign to make sure that you are financially independent and are secure in the long run. Think about long term comfort. Invest and save wisely so that you can enjoy yourself later on down the road. If you don’t have a plan for retirement then this card could be your sign to start making one!
Lastly, the Nine of Pentacles is an Earth Suit. While it does focus on material objects and gains, it can also point to the environment around us. This card can be a sign that you are in sync with nature. If this resonates, then you might be someone who finds their inner peace in gardening, taking walks, soaking up the sun, or just being outside in the natural beauty of nature. Maybe you have been wanting to take a trip and be outdoorsy or there is something that you have been wanting to purchase to add to your outdoor area? Remember, this card points to self rewards for all your hard work, so do something for yourself that makes you happy!
Okay, we are almost done!
Finally, let’s look at the meaning of these two cards when combined. When the Hermit (reversed) and the Nine of Pentacles show up together this could signal that you are relying too much on external sources for success. It could also suggest that you are struggling to find financial stability. The feeling of lack of financial stability could be due to relying too much on others instead of yourself. This card combination can also suggest it's time for you to refocus priorities and reassess your goals in order to find a balance between financial stability and your emotional fulfillment.
If any of this resonates with you then now is your chance to self reflect on what you need to do in order to find the financial peace that you desire.
🌙 July’s Full Moon (Buck Moon) will be making a grand appearance on July 21st! The Full Moon marks the end of a cycle so it is a great time to release any negative energy. Release any emotions that no longer serve you. Start thinking about new goals. Take time to reflect and manifest specific intentions.

Money Mindset Makeover
Last week I shared some tips on how to find funding for your business and that got me thinking about my own money mindset journey, which then led me to think about how women in general struggle with money and how, despite women owned the number of women-owned businesses growing at an incredible rate, securing funding as a woman remains a challenge.
I believe there are a few reasons for this.
Women might be more hesitant to take on debt to build their businesses.
Self-worth can get intertwined with money for women in ways it might not for men.
Traditionally, women are paid less than men for doing the same job, and sometimes we can unknowingly carry that expectation into our own businesses by not charging enough, or into our careers by not asking for a raise when it’s warranted.
As a result of our mindset around money, both personal and professional growth can be hindered.
This was definitely true for me. I spent ages chasing the "magic bullet" – that one perfect strategy or connection that would unlock financial success.
But the truth is, none of that mattered if I didn't believe I deserved abundance.
I doubted success could be easy, clinging to the myth that sheer hustle equals millions. (Let's be real, if that were true, wouldn't we all be millionaires?)
The turning point for me came when I finally examined my money beliefs. What I discovered was that no strategy or connection could work unless I first believed in my own worth, in the possibility of easy success and financial abundance.
So, how do we break free from these limitations? Here are some tips to cultivate a powerful money mindset:
Self-reflection: How do you typically talk about money? Are you always thinking there isn’t enough money, or “I can’t afford that”? Pay attention to your thoughts around money and try to replace negative thoughts with more positive ones.
Challenge your beliefs: Are there any money myths holding you back, like the fear of debt or needing to hustle endlessly? Do you believe that to make a lot of money you have to do x,y,z? How did your childhood shape your thoughts around money? This was a big one for me.
Focus on gratitude: Take time to appreciate what you already have. Every time you pay a bill or make a purchase, be grateful that you have the money to do so. If you feel like that would be inauthentic and not something you could really believe, replace that thought with “I am choosing to believe there is always enough money for everything I want and need.”
Plus, a few ways to cultivate a positive money mindset:
Affirmations: Repeating positive statements about wealth and success can reprogram your subconscious mind. In the beginning of my journey I would fill up an entire notebook page every single day with the affirmation, “Money comes to me easily and frequently”. I would affirm this over and over and over in my mind every single day. I’d fall asleep repeating this affirmation.
Visualization: Imagine yourself achieving your financial goals. How would you feel if all of your bills were on auto pay and you never had to worry about the money coming out of your account? How would you feel if you could book that all-expenses paid vacation and know that you had enough money in the bank for 100 more vacations? The reality is, the money isn’t what you want – it’s how the money would make you feel, what you could do with the money. If you had a million dollars in your bank account, but you could never spend it, that wouldn’t be very helpful, would it? Visualize what you would do with the money – how would it make you feel? Tap into those feelings.
Financial role models: Surround yourself with other women entrepreneurs who have a healthy relationship with money and who can inspire you. One of the best things I ever did was surround myself with women who, in my opinion, were more successful than me. In doing this I realized three major things:
1) Nobody actually knows what they’re doing and they’re not keeping some big “success” secret from me – they’re literally just showing up every day and making shit happen.
2) They thought about money and approached money in a completely different way than I did. They asked for what they were worth and they didn’t accept anything less.
3) Money can't solve every problem. These women still had struggles and sometimes mo’ money really did mean mo’ problems.
I feel like I say this every week, but remember – the key to success is to remain consistent and intentional – that’s true for adopting a new money mindset too.
Affirmation: Money comes to me easily and frequently.
