Happy Monday!
Welcome to the very first issue of Best Week Ever, the newsletter designed to help you have your best week, every week!
This week we’re going to explore what it means to have our shit together, but before we get into that, let’s complete our Best Week Basics. Grab your notebook and spend the next 20 minutes laying the groundwork for having your best week ever.
🦋 Following the "Best Week Basics" is essential to having your best week ever. Use this time to really plan for the week ahead and think about what needs to happen for you to feel like you had a productive, fulfilling week.
🪞 Reflection: Reflect on last week. What went wrong? What went right? What can you celebrate? What can you try to do better this week?
✨ Intention: Set your intentions for this week. What needs to happen to ensure you have the absolute best week ever? Take a few minutes to do a brain dump and organize your to-do list if you feel overwhelmed.
📆 Time block: Review your calendar and make sure you have time blocked off to complete your most important and urgent tasks.
🔮 Every week I pull a tarot card to give us guidance for the week. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.
Week of April 15, 2024: The Sun

I was so excited to pull this card, especially for our very first card together!
The Sun tarot card heralds a week of success, positivity, and abundance. Its radiant energy encourages you to shine brightly, drawing people to you with your optimistic outlook and warm spirit.
In times of challenge, remember that brighter days are ahead, filled with joy and fulfillment. Embrace your inner power, express yourself authentically, and share your gifts with confidence, knowing that your positive energy will attract success and well-being.
This week, tap into your vitality, enthusiasm, and good health, allowing the Sun's energy to guide you towards a fulfilling and joyful experience.
Affirmation: I radiate success, joy, and abundance in all that I do. My positive energy attracts opportunities and brings happiness to those around me.
☕️ Monday Musings are thoughts and stories from my own entrepreneurial and personal-growth journeys. I hope to eventually share more of your stories here, too. Grab your favorite beverage while you read, and please hit ‘reply’ to share your thoughts!
Monday Musings: What does ‘having your shit together’ even mean?
I was driving home with my best friend a few weeks ago just chatting about the things going on in our lives and she said, “You know, I thought I’d have my shit together by now”.
“Same,” I agreed.
But what does that even mean?
Because on paper the two of us really had our shit together.
And our lives are good, don’t get me wrong, we’re privileged.
But if we still feel like we don’t have our shit together, how can we get it together?
“What does ‘having your shit together’ actually mean to you?”, I asked my bestie. “For you to feel like you’ve got it all together, what would your life look like? How would you know that you’ve succeeded in getting it together?”
She couldn’t answer right away.
And I realized I couldn’t answer for myself anymore, either.
Several years ago, as my business was imploding and I was wondering wtf I’d spent the last 5 years building, I realized I was trying to build a business based on the version of success I thought would look good to everyone else.
I never actually stopped to think about what success would look like (or, most importantly, feel like) to me.
That’s the first time I had ever intentionally took time to think about what I actually wanted my life and business to look like, decided how I wanted to feel about the life I was creating, and became intentional about how I would achieve this newly defined vision of success, everything changed.
But 7 years later I realize it’s time to revisit that vision of success. Because in many ways, that first vision came true.
But in many ways, I can also see opportunities to be more specific about what I want, and there’s plenty of room for growth.
Will we ever actually feel satisfied enough to say we’ve got our shit together?
I’m honestly not sure.
But the journey to becoming the best version of yourself is meant to be experienced and should be fun.
So, if you’re feeling like you don’t have your shit together either, no worries – you’re certainly not alone.
And if you want to create your vision for success (the most “I’ve got my shit together” version of you), here are some prompts that have helped me in my quest:
What does "success" mean to you personally? Picture your dream life, career, relationships, and overall happiness.
How do you want to feel every day? What emotions do you want to experience regularly?
What values and beliefs do you want to guide your choices and actions?
How can you make your life match up with your idea of success? Think about setting goals, forming good habits, finding mentors, and building a supportive network.
How will you know you're making progress toward your vision of success? What milestones will show you're getting closer?
What challenges might come up, and how can you handle them?
How can you celebrate small victories along the way and appreciate the journey?
Remember: “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.”
💰 Here’s where I shamelessly plug my business(es) and drop my affiliate links. I’ll never recommend something I haven’t tried and loved myself, but I might make a few bucks if you buy something.
📆 Pav*r - for Google Calendar users who have ever asked themselves, “where tf did my week go?”, Pav*r provides insights & analytics to help you know exactly how much time you spent, and where.
🐝 Beehiiv - It’s what I’m using to build this newsletter, and I’ve got lots of thoughts about the future of newsletters & email marketing. Beehiiv is the best place to be if you want to grow an email list with a purpose.
👯♀️ Are we following each other on Instagram yet? If not, let’s fix that.
