Happy Monday!
This week I’m sharing the method I use to avoid “the spiral”, but before we get into that, let’s complete our Best Week Basics. Grab your notebook and spend the next 20 minutes laying the groundwork for having your best week ever.
🦋 Following the "Best Week Basics" is essential to having your best week ever. Use this time to really plan for the week ahead and think about what needs to happen for you to feel like you had a productive, fulfilling week.
🪞 Reflection: Reflect on last week. What went wrong? What went right? What can you celebrate? What can you try to do better this week?
✨ Intention: Set your intentions for this week. What needs to happen to ensure you have the absolute best week ever? Take a few minutes to do a brain dump and organize your to-do list if you feel overwhelmed.
📆 Time block: Review your calendar and make sure you have time blocked off to complete your most important and urgent tasks.
🔮 Every week I pull a tarot card to give us guidance for the week. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.
Week of April 22, 2024: Eight of Cups

The Suit of Cups Tarot cards deal with the emotional level of consciousness and are associated with love, feelings, relationships and connections.
The Eight of Cups in a Tarot reading signals a time to let go of situations that no longer serve your well-being, even if it means leaving behind something familiar or once cherished.
Trust your intuition and inner guidance to move towards what truly brings you joy, fulfillment, and emotional wholeness, even if it involves facing sadness or making difficult decisions.
Embrace the opportunity for growth and renewal by releasing what no longer aligns with your authentic self, allowing space for new experiences and positive transformations.
Affirmation: I release what no longer serves me and embrace the path of true fulfillment and happiness.
☕️ Monday Musings are thoughts, stories, and strategies from my own entrepreneurial and personal-growth journeys. I hope to eventually share more of your stories here, too. Grab your favorite beverage while you read, and please hit ‘reply’ to share your thoughts!
Monday Musings: The 3×3 Method I use to avoid spiraling
Overwhelmed and overstimulated are two of my least favorite vibrations.
(I’m no psychologist, but it probably has something to do with feeling a loss of control in those situations.)
So it’s no surprise that any time I get over-anything’d I start to spiral.
One bad day turns into three, I have no idea what I should be doing, everything is somehow falling through the cracks, my inbox is so far gone idk where to start, and omg everything is awful and whyyyy did I sign up for all of this?
You get the picture. We’ve all had “the spiral”.
But we can’t afford to spiral.
We’ve got shit to do.
I don’t know exactly when it happened, but through testing and trying different strategies, I somehow created a process to help me avoid “the spiral” and in my head I’ve dubbed it the 3x3 method.
🌀 Feeling “the spiral” coming on? Time to 3x3.
🤔 Can’t figure out what I need to focus on? 3x3 can help.
🤦🏻♀️ It’s Thursday and I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything? 3x3 can salvage this week.
Don’t worry, the point is coming.
Here’s the 3x3 method and how to use it to help you create your Best Week Ever and avoid “the spiral”:
3 Things I’m Grateful for Right Now: | 3 Tasks/Priorities I Need to Achieve: | 3 Ways I Can Show Up as My Highest Self: |
Begin with gratitude - close your eyes and take a few deep breaths while you focus on something or someone you’re grateful for. Write down the first 3 things that pop up and let those feelings ground you so you can recover and find your focus.
Now, let's identify your priorities. What really needs to be done right now or today? If you’re anything like me you probably have a false sense of urgency placed on at least a few of your to-do list items.
Pick the top 3 and create space on your calendar to work on those things and only those things during that time. Everything else can wait – you’ll get to them next and you’ll be more present and prepared when you do.
Finally, consider how you can approach this work as your highest self. What would she do in this situation? How would she show up and what kind of energy would she bring? What 3 ways can you embody her today or this week?
The great thing about the 3x3 method is that it can be used any time, not just in a spiral moment. Use this method as part of planning your Best Week Ever and watch your productivity and creativity 10x.
💰 Here’s where I shamelessly plug my business(es) and drop my affiliate links. I’ll never recommend something I haven’t tried and loved myself, but I might make a few bucks if you buy something.
📆 Pav*r - for Google Calendar users who have ever asked themselves, “where tf did my week go?”, Pav*r provides insights & analytics to help you know exactly how much time you spent, and where.
🐝 Beehiiv - It’s what I’m using to build this newsletter, and I’ve got lots of thoughts about the future of newsletters & email marketing. Beehiiv is the best place to be if you want to grow an email list with a purpose.
👯♀️ Are we following each other on Instagram yet? If not, let’s fix that.
Did you enjoy this issue? Do you have a business bestie you think would enjoy it too? If so, will you forward this email to them? Thank you, love you.
