Happy Monday!
This week we’ll be turning off autopilot and getting back into the position of flying the plane that is our life, but before we get into that, let’s complete our Best Week Basics. Grab your notebook and spend the next 20 minutes laying the groundwork for having your best week ever.
🦋 Following the "Best Week Basics" is essential to having your best week ever. Use this time to really plan for the week ahead and think about what needs to happen for you to feel like you had a productive, fulfilling week.
🪞 Reflection: Reflect on last week. What went wrong? What went right? What can you celebrate? What can you try to do better this week?
✨ Intention: Set your intentions for this week. What needs to happen to ensure you have the absolute best week ever? Take a few minutes to do a brain dump and organize your to-do list if you feel overwhelmed.
📆 Time block: Review your calendar and make sure you have time blocked off to complete your most important and urgent tasks.
🔮 Every week I pull a tarot card to give us guidance for the week. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.
Week of May 6, 2024: Five of Wands (reversed)

Do you have a conflict that needs to be resolved? This is the week to acknowledge it.
The five of wands reversed encourages you to acknowledge any internal conflicts or uncertainties, whether they relate to significant societal issues or personal choices like relationships or career paths.
Embrace the process of exploring different perspectives, even when faced with strong opposing views, as it can lead to a well-considered standpoint.
Reflect on whether avoiding conflict entirely aligns with your values and priorities, and aim to address underlying concerns constructively. By finding harmony between your thoughts and emotions, set your intention to cultivate a sense of peace and clarity in your decisions throughout the week.
Affirmation: I am capable of navigating conflicts with grace and clarity.
☕️ Monday Musings are thoughts and stories from my own entrepreneurial and personal-growth journeys. I hope to eventually share more of your stories here, too. Grab your favorite beverage while you read, and please hit ‘reply’ to share your thoughts!
Monday Musings: Are you living on autopilot?
Have you ever felt like you’re living life on autopilot?
Wake up, brush teeth, get dressed, go to work, do the things, come home, do the things, shower, sleep, repeat.
“The things”, of course, are a whirlwind of tasks, meetings, and obligations. You’re constantly busy, but where has the time actually gone?
And more importantly, what do you have to show for it?
All of a sudden you look up and it’s a new week, a new month, a new quarter, or hell, even a new year.
The reality is – time waits for no one.
But we’ve got dreams to achieve, bills to pay, and vacations to take.
So how are we supposed to thrive when it feels like we can barely survive?
I’m not gonna pretend to have the answer to that, but I do have a suggestion:
Getting Intentional.
Intentional isn’t just a buzzword; it's a game-changer.
It's about taking control of our lives and saying “I’m going to commit to doing more of what gets me closer to my most successful self, and say no to the things that don’t.”
Here's why being intentional matters:
Clarity and Focus: Being intentional helps us gain clarity about what truly matters to us. It allows us to prioritize our goals and focus our energy on activities that align with our vision for success.
Inspired Action: When we are intentional, every action we take has a purpose. Whether it's pursuing a new business venture, nurturing relationships, or practicing self-care, we do things with a clear intention and direction.
Maximizing Resources: Time, energy, and resources are limited. Being intentional helps us make the most of what we have. We invest our time where it brings the most value and avoid distractions that derail us from our objectives.
Authentic Living: Intentionality leads to authenticity. We live in alignment with our values and beliefs, making decisions that reflect our true selves. This authenticity attracts like-minded individuals and fosters genuine connections.
Mindful Growth: Intentional living is about continuous growth and improvement. We set meaningful goals, track our progress, and adapt as needed. It's a journey of self-discovery and evolution.
So, how can we cultivate intentionality in our lives?
Set Clear Goals: Define what success means to you in different areas of your life – career, relationships, personal growth. Set SMART goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
Create a Vision Board: Visualize your dreams and aspirations. Use a vision board to represent your goals visually and keep them in sight daily.
Practice Mindfulness: Incorporate mindfulness practices like meditation, journaling, or gratitude exercises into your routine. These help you stay present, focused, and connected to your intentions.
Evaluate Regularly: Take time to review your progress and adjust your strategies as needed. Celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and stay committed to your path.
Being intentional is not about being perfect; it's about being purposeful. It's about embracing the journey of growth, learning, and becoming the best versions of ourselves.
